The first mass-production 998 cc F4, replacing the 750 range. It brought a bigger engine, 50 mm Marzocchi upside-down forks, a Sachs shock with hydraulic preload, a reshaped screen and adjustable footrests. Launched in blue and silver racing colours, it was built to take on the Japanese litre sportbikes.
